As you may know, we are both certified Usui Reiki Masters. Today we want to share distant Reiki with our readers. We have created a short video designed for general overall well-being.
So, what is Reiki? Reiki is an energetic healing modality. In Japanese Rei means Universal and Ki represents Life Energy. The practitioner channels universal energy to the client. Reiki can be done in person and sent to individuals. It can help to relieve stress, release emotional blocks, balance the body’s energy and chakras, cleanse auras, it supports other healing modalities and can be used with traditional healing therapies. As it is said to aid other healing therapies, it is vital that one continues seeing professional medical providers when needed! Reiki can be a great addition to your mindfulness practice.
What happens during?
When receiving Reiki all you need to do is relax and be open to receiving the energy. For distant work, we like our clients to meditate (though this is not required you will still receive the energy). That being said, if you would like Reiki via the video below simply sit or lay in a comfortable spot and allow yourself to be open to the energy. You may feel sensations in your body, fall asleep, or feel nothing at all – this is all totally normal.
What happens after?
Everyone feels Reiki energy differently. Some people get sleepy, emotional, light-headed, tingly, hot flashes, cold flashes, or may feel nothing at all. After a session, allow yourself to feel whatever emotions you may be experiencing and try to be easy on yourself throughout the day. Drink a glass of water after the session to help with energy work.
