Today I want to talk a little about self-love. I know this is a theme with us at times, but self-love is so important. It is not selfish and you do deserve to feel good about who you are. So, today I want to be your reminder to look for the good things about yourself and forgive your imperfections.
We often find it to be no issue at all to put ourselves down. It’s when it comes to lifting ourselves up that we suddenly have problems. We are somehow taught that it is wrong to think highly of ourselves. It is easier to say something negative about ourselves and apologize when we say something good.
It does not serve you to talk down to yourself. All you are doing is filling your life with negative affirmations and let’s face it you become who you think you are. If you think you are awesome, you will be awesome. It is that simple. I want you to change your thinking and say good things about yourself. Love yourself. Love who you are and who you are becoming. Embrace your imperfections because guess what… no one is perfect and sometimes the things you hate about yourself are the things someone else may admire.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful. When something good happens, feel happy about it instead of guilty. If you do well at something, congratulate yourself. And if you mess up on something try not to beat yourself up too much about it. Everything is ok and no matter what you are a wonderful ray of all things good.
